Plinko at Glory Casino — the ball-and-pegs game, properly explained
Plinko is the casino version of the old game-show ball drop. A ball falls through a triangular array of pegs, bouncing left or right at each peg, and lands in one of several multiplier slots at the bottom. Glory runs BGaming's version, which has up to 99% RTP on low-risk mode — one of the highest RTPs in the entire casino. Plinko is part of the instant-win lineup we cover in our flagship Glory Casino review, sitting alongside the the Aviator alternative as the other big BD-favourite outside the slot reels.
Below: how the math works, why risk level matters more than people think, and what's worth knowing before you drop your first ball. Players who like the instant-win format also rotate into the the JetX title, which uses the same ramp-and-cashout rhythm as Aviator but with a different multiplier curve.

How Plinko works — the math
You set:
- Bet size per ball (10 BDT to 10,000 BDT)
- Risk level — low, medium, high. This changes the multipliers at the bottom slots
- Number of rows — 8 to 16. More rows means more bounces and more extreme outcomes
You drop a ball. It bounces at each peg with roughly 50/50 chance of going left or right. After all bounces, it lands in one of several slots at the bottom. Multiplier in that slot × your bet = payout.
The middle slots have low multipliers (typically <1x — you lose money). The outer slots have high multipliers (5x, 10x, up to 1000x on high risk). Most balls land near the middle because of binomial distribution — there are many more paths that bounce roughly equally than paths that go all-left or all-right.
Risk levels — what each one feels like
Low risk — the steady grind
Middle slot multipliers around 0.5x-1x (you lose or break even), outer slots cap around 5-15x. Most balls return 80-110% of bet. Variance very low — you'll see lots of near-misses but no big swings. Best for clearing welcome bonus wagering (high contribution + low variance = predictable grind).
Medium risk — the middle ground
Middle slots punish harder (0.2x-0.5x — small losses), but outer slots reach 20-50x. Variance moderate. Realistic session might see one or two 20x hits across 100 balls. Most common setting for casual entertainment.
High risk — the multiplier hunt
Middle slots multiply by 0.2x — meaning balls landing in the middle lose 80% of bet. Outer slots can reach 1000x on 16-row configuration. Very high variance — long losing streaks punctuated by rare big hits. Bankroll-killer if you size bets wrong.
The honest math on risk levels
RTP differences are smaller than people think:
- Low: 99% RTP, smooth variance, expected loss = 1% × total wagered
- Medium: 98% RTP, moderate variance, expected loss = 2% × total wagered
- High: 97% RTP, brutal variance, expected loss = 3% × total wagered
Long-run, low risk is the mathematically best choice. The reason people pick high risk anyway is for the lottery-ticket entertainment of the rare 1000x hit. Both are valid play styles — just be honest with yourself about which you're doing.
Strategy that actually works
Auto-play with low risk for grinding
Set 100 BDT per ball, low risk, 12 rows, auto-play 100 balls. Expected outcome: 100 × 100 BDT × 99% = ~9,900 BDT back from 10,000 BDT wagered. That's a manageable 1% bleed over 100 balls — perfect for clearing welcome bonus wagering predictably.
High risk lottery mode
Small bets (50 BDT), high risk, 16 rows. Drop balls and accept that most will land in the middle for 0.2x. The 1-2 balls in 100 that land in outer slots pay 100x-1000x — single ball at 50 BDT × 1000x = 50,000 BDT. Don't budget more than you'd spend on a movie ticket per session.
Manual play to slow down
Auto-play burns bankroll fast on Plinko because rounds are so quick (each ball takes 2-3 seconds). Manual mode (you click drop for each ball) forces you to think between balls. Stops the autopilot tilt that kills sessions. Funding speed matters at this pace, so most BD players keep bKash deposit method set as the default rather than waiting on card processing.
What I'd avoid
- Sitting on high risk with big bets. 1000 BDT × 0.2x middle slot = 800 BDT lost per ball. Twenty losing balls in 30 seconds is mathematically possible. Bankroll wipes out fast
- Believing in "patterns" on the peg board. Each peg-bounce is a fresh ~50/50. Previous balls don't influence next ball. The path histogram is for entertainment, not for prediction
- Switching rows mid-session out of frustration. Pick a row count and stick with it for at least 50 balls. Constantly fiddling makes sessions worse
- Using Plinko as a "low-risk slot alternative". Low-risk Plinko has 99% RTP which is better than any slot — but variance and entertainment value are also lower. Different game type, different expectations
If you want to compare the BGaming build to alternatives from Spribe or Stake, browse the wider game provider directory — there are at least four Plinko clones across providers, each with slightly different multiplier ladders. Bonus-credit math is set in the bonus terms breakdown, so check wagering contribution before you grind low-risk for clearance.
Plinko FAQ
Pure chance. The only "skill" is choosing risk level, bet size and rows — all bankroll management. Ball path is randomly determined at each peg bounce. No timing tricks, no aim, no skill that affects outcome.
Mathematically: low risk (99% RTP). For entertainment value: depends on you — medium risk is the most-played for a reason. High risk is for lottery ticket fans.
Yes — auto-play 1,000 balls at 1,000 BDT per ball on high risk = 1,000,000 BDT wagered in maybe 30 minutes. Expected loss 30,000 BDT but variance can easily make actual loss 50,000-150,000 BDT in a bad session. Size your bets to your bankroll like any other casino game.
Yes at 100% contribution (it's classified as a slot-style game for wagering purposes). One of the most efficient ways to clear the welcome bonus 50× wagering due to low variance on low-risk setting.
On 16-row high risk with the outermost slot — yes, but rarely. Statistical probability is about 1 in 16,384 balls (binomial distribution for 16 all-left or all-right bounces). At 100 BDT bet × 1000x that's 100,000 BDT for one ball. Most players never see it.
